Fun Sewing Project

I just finished a lovely knitting bag. I had some fabric and found this pattern and loved it. It was so easy to make. I guess it took about 4 hours total working time. I can't wait to make more.

Weightloss and Knitting

Today I weighted in and removed, not lost, 2 more pounds. I feel that if I say lost it will find me again. Because when you lose something you try to look for it. I am not going to look for this 50 pounds once I remove it.

Haven't knit much lately, working a sweater for my son. Made a boo boo on my socks that I was working on. Once I fix the mistake I will continue on them.

Going to DFW Fiber Fest this weekend. I have never been but am interested in seeing what it is all about.

Dexter's Blanket

I received a picture of Dexter, my son's teacher's dog, and his blanket. He loves it. Samson on the right wanted to enjoy it a little too.

Weight Loss Journey

Well, I have finished my first week of getting healthy. I'm pround of myself since I have overcome a couple of challenges. I'm down 6 pounds this week. Once challenge I faced was eating out with some friends and not ordering dessert. I saw the melted chocolate cake but it did not bother me not having it. Yippee!! So onto week two.

March Completed Projects

I have been a knitting machine in March. I cast on a new pair of socks using my new sock yarn by Fleece Artist the colorway is Mahogany. I love it. It reminds me of apples in the Fall.
I completed a shawl for my mother which I forgot to take a picture of. But she really likes it.

I completed this Easy Afghan by Lion Brand. It uses 4 strands of Homespun yarn.

I completed my 2 socks on 2 circulars. Unfortunately, I decreased for the toe too soon and the foot was not long enough. But I found a most appreciative little boy who loves them, my Son. He said "Mommy these are comfy". So my work will not be wasted. I don't think I will try this method again, it has it pros and cons but I prefer to do one sock at a time with two circular needles.
I also completed a blanket for my son's teacher's dog. He loved the one I made her for Christmas so much I thought he should have his own. She promised to take a picture for me of Dexter and his blanket so I will post it later.
